Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is changing the way companies do business. It’s no surprise why so many companies are adopting the technology. Unprecedented flexibility, scalability, and the ability to quickly meet growing business demands are only a few of the advantages of the cloud. Employees can work from home whenever they want! If the boss will let them..

Benefits of the Cloud

More of a method than a specific technology, cloud computing changes the way technologists think about your corporate infrastructure. Cloud computing gives your organization the benefits of economies of scale, improved accessibility, overall operational efficiency, and reduced costs due to less personnel and hardware infrastructure required on-site – just to name a few. TechTroid helps companies of all sizes bump their current in-house server setup for easy to use cloud systems. They enjoy the benefits of improved connectivity, optimized storage space, easy scalability, and increased business efficiency.

Types of Cloud Computing

There are 3 main types of cloud computing platforms that can be deployed, depending on how we implement the technology.

  • IAAS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service)
  • This is the physical equipment you see when you walk into your server room – outsourced and managed by professionals in a vast data center. This is by far the most popular option for most businesses, as it’s the most affordable option and has the most benefits.

  • SAAS (Software-as-a-Service)
  • SAAS usually refers to subscription software services. Office 365 is a great example of this. This is the next most popular option. Companies that move in this direction are making slower transitions into cloud computing, usually application by application. This is a more expensive option than IAAS over the long term, but many companies prefer many smaller costs to a single larger cost, even if it’s flipped cumulatively. You can lead a horse to water..

  • PAAS (Platform-as-a-Service)
  • This is basically just for developers. It exists on this page to demonstrate the spectrum of cloud service types, but any company looking at PAAS will likely need it created by a software development company. We know of several great ones in the US, so please don’t hesitate to contact us for our recommendations.
